Beginner Printmaking
$70 for a 3 and a half hour class with breaks and all materials provided. Students are welcome to bring their own materials such as blocks and paper if desired. Wood blocks are provided at 4×6 inch sizing with paper size being 5.5×7.5 inches. Get access to all the ink options available at Spectrum Artworx and learn how to print by hand and with a printing press. After finishing the class participants can use the printmaking studio for $15 a hour which includes one color of ink. Learn how to print and mix ink colors to make unique prints using various designs.
Beginner PanPastel
$30 for a one and a half hour class where students get learn how to use PanPastels at a basic level. All materials are provided and students get access to the tools and rang of PanPastel colors offered in the Spectrum Artworx maker space. Get access to a half sheet of black and a half sheet of white bee pastel paper to experiment with. After experimenting get accesss to a full sheet of your choice of color from the bee pastel paper display. Learn about how to use this unique medium that is blend able and bale to be used without drying out and be vibrant. See how to apply with the palette knives and sponges available and how to use other artist tools like brushes to apply PanPastels. Class is freeform and learning techniques before exploring and creating what the student wants with their own imagination or using a reference image.
